We've introduced a new Unlink Transfer action that gives you a clean, compliant way to recover from licensed transfer errors. At the same time, we've closed a longstanding gap that was allowing licensed transfers to be deleted directly — a workflow that created compliance risk.
Why It Matters
Licensed transfers are submitted to Metrc and carry regulatory weight. Deleting them in Canix without voiding them in Metrc created a mismatch between your records and the state's. The new workflow enforces the correct sequence: void in Metrc first, then unlink in Canix — keeping your compliance audit trail intact.
How It Works
Void the transfer in Metrc. This must happen first to keep your Metrc records accurate.
Use Unlink Transfer in Canix. This detaches the voided transfer from the Sales Order and automatically generates a fresh transfer linked to it.
Review and submit the new transfer. Your Sales Order stays intact — just with a corrected transfer attached.
Template-only transfers are unaffected. If your transfer hasn't been submitted to Metrc yet, nothing changes. You can still use the Delete Transfer button to remove it and unlink it from the Sales Order — same as before.
